Halloween week is creeping up and I’m HERE for the treats. But here’s the thing: as a mom littles, I want sweet, fun, and still kind of healthy. So this week’s spotlight is on “trick or healthy treat” recipes. Chocolatey goodness, fall comfort, and clever swaps so you can indulge without regrets.

I pulled together a few of my favorite recipes that lean into chocolate, pumpkin, fall spices, and cozy sweetness. Perfect for some healthier swaps for treats this year.

Pumpkin Crunch Squares

These Pumpkin Crunch Squares with a salted chocolate magic shell topping are the BEST healthy fall treat! Made with creamy almond butter, real pumpkin, crumbled rice cakes, pumpkin spice, and sweetened with maple syrup, then topped with dates, peanuts, and a chocolate magic shell topping with a sprinkle of sea salt.


Juicy sliced apples covered with vanilla yogurt mixture, dipped into a chocolate shell, and topped with peanuts and flaky salt. These Chocolate Covered Apples (aka viral apple “donuts”) are the BEST healthy snack or treat!

These donut bites are rolled in a sweet cinnamon sugar mixture for the BEST fall treat! My kids absolutely love making these with me and they’re one of my favorite fall traditions every year. Every bite is so good!


These Snickers Protein Bites are the BEST sweet treat for whenever you’re craving something chocolatey! Made with a protein peanut butter crust, whipped cottage cheese filling, and a chocolate sea salt topping, every bite is so good.

The flavors of a warm gingerbread cookie topped with white chocolate icing, but turned into a healthy, everyday snack – it doesn’t get any better than that! Make a big batch of these easy bites and keep them in the fridge for healthy snacking all week.
